Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Forty & Eight

A short time ago I got off the phone with Trent Loos who averages 3 to 4 million listeners a day

on his various radio programs.  Some of you will recall that I rode with him in his 100 year old chuck wagon for some 20 miles a few weeks ago and then the next day I rode his mule for about another 14 miles during the cattle roundup in Saline County, MO.  During that time I did a 20 minute segment on his radio program.  On Veterans' Day he asked me to do a one hour program with him which I did.  This, I believe, has given the 40 & 8 a great amount of FREE publicity.

Friday he called me and asked if I could be in Chicago to ride on his chuck wagon in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Trent is one of the most patriotic people I have known. Not a veteran but a great American!

Tonight we finalized it.  I will have the honor of riding with him in the parade, wearing my gold chapeau (and jacket if it is not too cold).  Trent hopes that this will draw national attention to the

Forty and Eight.  I am honored to be riding with him!

The parade can be seen on WGN-TV across the nation from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM,CST.

Hopefully there is not a blizzard!!!

IRS 990-N FILING

To all Grandes and Locales, we have spoken with our auditors and they have advised us to let everyone know that the IRS is having all non profit organizations fill out a 990-N.  It is a simple process.  Just go to the website (per your letter from the IRS) and fill out the form by the due date.  The fiscal year for all Locales and Grandes ends June 30.  If you have any further questions please contact us.
