INDIANAPOLIS August 2014 The national headquarters of the Forty & Eight cordially invites members of the News Media to the group’s 95th annual Promenade Nationale (national convention) at the Wyndham Hotel, 5700 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451, Sept 23-27, 2014.
There will be several opportunities for interviews and videotaping colorful events, to include:
8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 Color Guard Competition (Atlantic Ballroom)
11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 Children’s Clown Party (Patio)
4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 Opening Ceremony, Flags, Memorial Service
1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 Awards (Hero, City & Law Officer of the Year.)
Parade locomotives will be on display nearby.

The Forty & Eight is a charitable honor society of American veterans since 1920. Its official name is La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux, derived from the French railway experience of U. S. troops in the First World War.
